Cleveland Cavaliers games are now more accessible for Ohio fans after a new distribution deal with DirecTV. The agreement with the team's local broadcast partner, DAZN, brings games to DirecTV channel 660 for about 200,000 subscribers. This comes as the Cavs look to build momentum after a 125-121 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on October 24, improving their early record to 1-1.
DirecTV customers in Ohio with the Choice package or higher, and U-verse TV subscribers with the U200 package or above, can now watch Cavs games. Coverage includes live pregame, in-game, and postgame programming on channel 660. Previously, viewers relying on providers like Spectrum needed a separate DAZN subscription, which costs $19.99 monthly or $119.99 for a season pass. This new deal provides a traditional cable option.
Not every game is exclusive to the streaming service, however. Fifteen games this season will air for free on WOIO Channel 19 or WUAB Channel 43. Those broadcasts will also be available at no extra cost through the DAZN platform. The list includes the upcoming home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 26, which tips off at 7 p.m. on WUAB.
The Cavaliers have a solid slate of national television games this season. Their schedule includes appearances on ESPN, NBC, Peacock, and Prime Video. Key matchups include a December 28 showdown with the Boston Celtics on NBC and a January 18 Martin Luther King Jr. Day game against the Detroit Pistons, also on NBC.
After opening the season with a 114-106 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on ESPN, the team will be featured in high-profile spots throughout the year. Fans can track all upcoming games, including these national broadcasts, on our schedule page.
This DirecTV deal directly addresses fan frustration over broadcast accessibility. It offers a more straightforward path to watching the team for a significant segment of the Ohio market. The inclusion of 15 over-the-air games provides free viewing options for key matchups, blending traditional and modern distribution.
With the team showing offensive firepower in their 125-121 win, featuring strong performances in the paint and from the perimeter, easier access is timely. The focus now shifts to the court, where the Cavs host the Minnesota Timberwolves next, aiming to continue their positive start to the 2026-27 NBA campaign.
