Cleveland Cavaliers fans in Ohio now have a new way to watch every local game. DIRECTV and DAZN have announced a multi-year deal to carry Cavaliers broadcasts on DIRECTV streaming, satellite, and U-verse services within the team's NBA-designated territory. This news arrives as the Cavs prepare for their next home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 26, 2026, following a 125-121 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on October 24.

Eligible DIRECTV customers need a Choice package or higher. U-verse TV subscribers require the U200 package or above. Once signed up, Cavaliers games will be found on channel 660 for streaming and satellite users, and on channels 1734 or 734 for U-verse. In the coming weeks, those same customers can also log into the DAZN app at no extra cost using their DIRECTV credentials to access live pregame, in-game, and postgame coverage dedicated to the team.

The agreement also covers commercial locations. Thousands of sports bars, restaurants, and gyms across the Cavaliers' region that use DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS will now be able to show the games. This ensures supporters can watch the action in public venues.

Local TV rights for NBA teams have become fragmented, making it harder for fans to find their home team. Rob Thun, the chief content officer at DIRECTV, stated their goal is to bring more live sports together in one place. "DIRECTV has earned its reputation as a sports leader through decades of investment," Thun said. The company now holds rights to 28 of the 29 U.S.-based NBA teams.

For DAZN, this partnership expands their audience. Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, highlighted their growing roster of NBA rights. "Partnerships like this one with DIRECTV are one of the ways we get games in front of the widest possible audience," Segev explained. The deal covers five NBA teams total, including the Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and San Antonio Spurs.

The team's immediate focus is basketball. Their recent form shows one win and one loss from the last two outings. After falling 114-106 to the Philadelphia 76ers on October 22, they bounced back with that 125-121 win over Brooklyn. Donovan Mitchell and the squad will look to build momentum in their upcoming matchup.

That next fixture is a home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 26. It’s a timely connection, as Timberwolves games are also part of this new DIRECTV and DAZN distribution deal.
